Online Creative Tools For Video, Audio And Graphics

I often get asked about the various creative tools I use to create my work. Most of the time I use products from the Adobe Creative Suite range such as Photoshop and Premiere but there are some great alternative tools available for you to use.

1. INKSCAPE

DESCRIPTION: Ink Scape is an open source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Adobe Illustrator and CorelDraw.

2. AUDACITYAudacity

DESCRIPTION: Audacity is a free, easy-to-use, multi-track audio editor and recorder for Windows and Mac.

3. GIMP

GIMP

DESCRIPTION: GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.

4. SKITCH

Skitch

DESCRIPTION: Skitch provides you with all the tools you need to visually communicate ideas, share feedback and collaborate with friends and co-workers. With Skitch on your mobile device, you can capture what’s important, mark it up with your thoughts, and pass it on.

DESCRIPTION: A great source of crowd sourced icons good for making infographics

6. VISUAL.LY

Visual-ly

DESCRIPTION: Visual.ly has lots of examples of infographics and has a tool for creating infographics from data like facebook.

7. YOUTUBE EDIT

YouTube Video Editor

DESCRIPTION: YouTube Edit is a very basic editor online video editor allowing you to bolt together shots, do some trimming, add in effects and music. You can then publish to YouTube. You can also mix in other material from Youtube.

8. JELLYCAM

JellyCam

DESCRIPTION: Jelly cam is a great free online stop frame animation tool, uses your webcam. Lots of fun and quick to use. But can be a bit tricky to set up.
